An Insight into Law at the University of Manchester

As part of the school’s commitment to raise aspirations and promote a wide range of career pathways, Year 9 students were given the opportunity to take part in an ‘Insight into Law’ day at the University of Manchester.

The event took place on Wednesday 27th March 2019 at the University of Manchester. It provided students with an opportunity to take part in talks, lectures and interactive workshops related to different careers in the legal sector. Student’s also got a taste of University life as part of the experience day.

Ms O’Donnell, Head of Careers, said:

The lectures and workshops allowed the students to find out more about studying Law at University and the wide range of careers in this sector. Knowing the grades they need to work towards will support the students to work hard and aspire to the wide range of exciting careers in Law.

Olivia, Year 9 student:

I have learnt that studying Law at University can lead to many careers, not just as a Lawyer. Also, I learnt a lot about life at University.

Nathan, Year 9 student:

I hadn’t really considered Law before this event but now I like the sound of it. I understand the career possibilities in a lot more detail now.
