Students Meet their Future at AJ Bell Stadium

As part of the school’s commitment to open students’ eyes to the wide range of job roles available to them both locally and nationally, Year 9 students were given the opportunity to take part in a careers speed networking event at the AJ Bell Stadium in Salford.

The ‘Meet your Future’ Event was organised by Bridge GM and took place on Friday 7th June 2019. It provided students with an opportunity to discover new and exciting careers they may not have previously considered by networking with a wide range of employers and businesses. They also had the chance to develop their communication skills by interviewing each of the volunteers about their job role.

Ms O’Donnell, Head of Careers, said:

The event gave the students a great chance to increase their confidence and develop their communication skills. I was very proud of the students as they represented the Academy in such a professional manner.

Mallua, Year 9 student, added:

I found the event very inspiring and it opened my eyes to lots of new careers.
