Year 10’s get a Taste of College Life

Published: 13/07/2018

Year 10 students took part in an array of college Taster Days to learn more about Post 16 courses and what college life has to offer.
They have had the chance to visit Tameside College, Clarendon Sixth Form College and Connell Sixth Form College, taking part in subject taster sessions and sampling college life. The aim was to help them make informed decisions when making their Post 16 choices in Year 11, by deciding on the right course and college for them.

We’ll soon be visiting Loreto College and The Manchester College as well to widen the experience further.

Thank you to all of the colleges for putting on the taster sessions and for giving our students a better understanding of their options.

I didn’t think this would be the right college for me but I loved it, especially the smaller classes, and I really enjoyed the lessons. It’s really helped me think about the best subjects for me to pick when I’m applying to colleges.
