Last week, all Year 10 students from TEMA were given the opportunity to take part in college taster events at four local colleges in Manchester, to support their Post 16 decisions.

  1. Connell Coop College
  2. The Manchester College
  3. Clarendon Sixth Form College
  4. Tameside College

This gave them the opportunity to sample college life and lessons in subjects they may consider in the future. It will also help them to make informed choices about the colleges they might consider applying to in Year 11.

Ms O’Donnell, Head of Careers, said:

The event was a fantastic opportunity for the students to try out subjects they may be considering and also work alongside students from other schools. Ahead of the important decisions that they will make in Year 11, students were informed of the importance of researching all their options.

Leon, Year 10 student, said:

I really enjoyed the experience and the subjects I had lessons in. I want to take them all at A level so I will have to think carefully to help me narrow down my options.
