In the summer, our final letter detailed our plans for reopening and I hope this letter answers some of the many questions I am sure you have about your child’s return.
We are ready to help your child get back to their learning and a predictable routine. We have been working hard whilst our students have been away to make sure that TEMA is the school that your child and your family deserve. We hope that students are looking forward to coming back to school and returning to some kind of normal. The academy will be different than it was before and we have planned a staggered return with extended form time for all students so that they are fully briefed on and aware of all the changes from the outset. Detailed in the enclosed guide are some of the changes and safety measures that we have put into place which we hope will reassure you.
We know that this has been a financially difficult time for many families and have sought where possible to provide as much community support as we can. We will be introducing a second-hand uniform bank for students who may require uniform and we would welcome any donations from our TEMA families. If you have any branded items of school uniform which your child has outgrown or are no longer needed, these can be left at reception in a tied plastic bag or brought in with your child on their first day. All items will be quarantined for 72 hours and then fully laundered so that we can support families who are facing financial hardship.
Please see the letters on this page for specific ‘return to school’ year group information.
