The Poetry Trials – Success!

Thirty three Year 7, 8 and 9 English students are having their work published in the latest Young Writers poetry anthology, ‘The Poetry Trials’.

Young Writers invites nationwide entries from students aged 11-18 and then choose the very best and most creative poetry for publication in regionalised editions. This is the third time in the past two years that Mr Wilkes’ students’ work has been published, taking the total number of published poets to around 100.

Entrants were invited to write expressively on a subject of their choice, which they feel is of importance to young people in our country.

Mr Wilkes was really pleased with the standard of poetry produced and the maturity and sensitivity of the emotional responses expressed in our pupils’ poetry.
