Collecting Home Learning Work Packs
We are providing paper packs of work for students where relevant, to help to support them in their studies away from school. These resources are provided to help you to support your child whilst they are at home, there are many other things that you can do with your child whilst they are away from school. Reading to them and with them, doing puzzles together, baking, watching TV together, going out for a walk, looking at old photographs are all excellent things to do together as families. Spending time together is important in times like this and we will support with this as much as we can.
Work packs are available for collection on Fridays between 12pm and 2pm from the sports hall up until the summer holidays. Social distancing measures have been put in place.
Accessing Resources Online (frog)
Ahead of some uncertain times for all of us, we have put together ‘School Continuity’ pages on Frog to help students continue to learn whilst away from the school building.
On the ‘School Continuity’ pages on frog, you’ll find digital copies of the work packs mentioned above, and other work set by our teachers. There’s a whole range of activities on there to keep students engaged and actively learning during this period of uncertainty. Many teachers have also set up Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams sites to further support individual classes – teachers have shared details of how to access these directly with students.
To access our ‘School Continuity’ site on frog:
- Please visit our VLE (frog): frog.temac.co.uk
- Students login with the same username and password that they use to login to the computers at school
- Once logged in, you’ll see a link called ‘School Continuity’. Click on this to access a range of resources
Attached to this page is an overview of the topics currently being studied across all year groups and subjects here at TEMA, also on that document are some links to generic websites, which can be used to support home learning. There are also suggestions of further activities that you might want to engage in, many of which don’t require Internet access.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us here at school.
