Manchester Healthy Schools Awards 2026

TEMA Hosts Prestigious Manchester Healthy Schools Awards and Celebrates Double Victory ( Published: 10/09/2026)

TEMA was filled with celebration, music, and pride as the school proudly hosted the annual Manchester Healthy Schools Awards – capping off an unforgettable occasion by picking up two major accolades.

Welcoming delegates, teachers, and pupils from across the city, the academy opened its doors to a diverse celebration of health and wellbeing, with representatives attending from local primary, secondary, and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) schools.

The event shone a spotlight on the outstanding health, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives taking place across Manchester education, and TEMA was thrilled to not only serve as the host venue, but also emerge as winners of two prestigious titles: the ‘Student Voice Award’ and the ‘Healthy Lifestyle Award’.

Throughout the ceremony, guests were treated to exceptional showcases of creative talent from our pupils. The atmosphere was lifted by uplifting musical performances and singing from the academy’s choir and musicians, alongside vibrant displays of student artwork exhibited throughout the venue.

Attendees and visiting staff were left blown away by the remarkable leadership, hospitality, and warmth shown by our young people. From greeting delegates and coordinating proceedings to showcasing their creative work, our student ambassadors demonstrated the very highest standards of maturity, dedication, and school pride.

Reflecting on the success of the day, academy leadership expressed sincere gratitude for the privilege of welcoming the city-wide community into our school:

We are so deeply grateful for the opportunity to host such a prestigious event as the Manchester Healthy Schools Awards. Welcoming primary, secondary, and SEND colleagues from every corner of Manchester was a true honour. To see our guests so inspired by our students’ hospitality, talent, and leadership – and then to top the celebration off by bringing home both the Student Voice and Healthy Lifestyle awards – is a testament to the hard work, passion, and values of our entire school community.

The double awards win highlights our ongoing commitment to fostering an environment where young people have a powerful voice in shaping school life and are empowered to make positive, healthy lifestyle choices every day.

Congratulations to all the schools, pupils, and staff across Manchester who were recognised during the ceremony, and a huge thank you to everyone whose hard work made the day such a resounding triumph.
