Disney’s High School Musical JR ( Published: 27/01/2026)

Disney’s High School Musical JR. is playing at TEMA on Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th February 2026 at 5.45pm. Tickets are available at lunch in the Bistro and after school in PA2.

The fun-filled 60-minute musical, designed for high school-aged performers, is based on the 2006 Disney Channel Original Movie and the subsequent National Tour. The KS3 cast includes 40+ students from Year 7-9 and teams of students playing important roles such as backstage managers, set designers and light and sound technicians.

Wildcats everywhere! This up-beat throwback to the ins and outs of high school drama is a nostalgic romp for young and old alike. The audition notice is posted for East High’s spring musical and superstar athlete Troy, and science whiz Gabriella, secretly want to try out. Will their dreams be thwarted as they navigate the cliques of East High? Adapted for young performers, this musical includes favourite High School Musical songs such as “Get’cha Head in the Game”, “Stick to the Status Quo”, and “We’re All in This Together”. With its inspiring message of friendship, self-discovery, and teamwork, you’ll be singing and cheering along with High School Musical JR. all the way to opening night!

The process from start to finish has been truly amazing. Our students have auditioned with courage, committed fully to every rehearsal, and grown together as a company. We’re now in the final few rehearsals before performing to a wonderful audience including a matinee to primary schools. The cast is excited, ready, and prepared to give it everything they’ve got on stage.
