Empowering Our Students: A Huge Thank You to Kerry Wolstenholme ( Published: 08/01/2026)
Over the last few weeks, we have been privileged to welcome Kerry Wolstenholme into our academy to lead a series of vital workshops focusing on consent, the dangers of strangulation, and healthy sexual behaviours.
Kerry’s visit has been nothing short of amazing. Her sessions were delivered with a rare blend of sensitivity, honesty, and expert knowledge, creating a safe space where our young people felt comfortable engaging with these deeply important (and often difficult) topics.
By breaking down the complexities of consent and highlighting the realities of healthy versus harmful behaviours, Kerry has provided our students with the tools they need to navigate relationships with respect, confidence, and safety. The feedback from both staff and students has been overwhelmingly positive, with many noting how insightful and eye-opening her perspective has been.
Educating our young people on these issues is a crucial part of our safeguarding and personal development curriculum, and having an expert of Kerry’s calibre has made a profound impact on our school community.
We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to Kerry for her dedication and for the passion she brings to her work. We are already looking forward to welcoming her back to the academy in the near future to continue this essential journey of education and empowerment.
