Consent to Speak to your Primary School

It is that exciting time of year where we look to make your transition to us at The East Manchester Academy as smooth as possible.

To help with this process we would like to speak to your child’s current primary school about progress, friendships, behaviour, celebrations and concerns. This information helps us to place students in forms and teaching groups, reassure those who are anxious, harness the energy of those who are excited and support those who want to make high school a ‘fresh start’.

The information we gather about our new intake is invaluable to us and it really helps the students settle in, knowing that we have contacted their primary school.

In order to comply with the Data Protection Act 2018, we need the consent of all parties concerned, for this data to be passed to us. Please be reassured that any information passed to us will be processed and stored securely on The East Manchester Academy network, with only the necessary staff having access. If you are happy for staff at your child’s primary school to share this information with us, then please complete the form that is linked to in an email that you will receive from us shortly. If you have not received the email please contact transition@temac.co.uk with your child’s full name, date of birth and postcode.
