The East Manchester Academy (TEMA) is a vibrant and innovative educational community in the heart of Beswick, and is a member of the Education and Leadership Trust with Whalley Range 11-18 High School and Levenshulme High School.
We are a member of the Education and Leadership Trust (ELT), a co-operative academy trust in Manchester, UK, which came into existence in September 2014. We are dedicated to promoting the emotional, physical and social well-being of our diverse and multi-cultural population and aspire to be a centre of excellence for the education of young people.

We often hear about how important reading is for us – it is so important for our young people to focus on reading for pleasure just as much as they read for their studies.
Students in Key Stage 3 have been taking part in the Bebras Computing Challenge, which introduces computational thinking to students. The challenge is open to young people across the world and many of our students achieved a top 10% score.
As part of the school’s commitment to promote STEM career pathways and to challenge gender stereotyping in careers, Year 9 students were given the opportunity to take part in the Teen Tech Manchester event.
On Tuesday 4th December 2018, students will take part in Super Learning Day instead of normal timetabled lessons.
As part of the school’s commitment to showcase roles in different job sectors and to challenge gender stereotyping in careers, Year 9 female students were given the opportunity to take part in a careers speed networking session.
