Year 9 Students Build Skills for the Future Through DHL GoTeach Programme ( Published: 01/05/2026)
During the programme, students worked alongside DHL professionals who shared their own career journeys and offered insights into a wide range of roles within a global organisation. Through interactive workshops and real-world scenarios, students were encouraged to think ambitiously about their own futures and to explore how their interests and strengths could translate into meaningful careers. This opportunity strongly reflects our school value of ambition. By engaging with employers and learning directly from industry experts, students were challenged to raise their aspirations, broaden their horizons and see the wide range of possibilities open to them beyond school. The sessions encouraged students not only to think about what they might want to achieve, but also how they can work towards those goals with determination and confidence.
A key focus of the GoTeach programme was communication, closely linking with the ongoing work in school to develop students’ oracy skills. Students took part in discussions, presentations and collaborative problem-solving activities, giving them valuable practice in expressing their ideas clearly, listening to others and speaking with confidence in a professional context.
We are proud of the way our Year 9 students represented the school and embraced this opportunity. Programmes like DHL GoTeach play an important role in helping our students develop ambition, confidence and strong oracy skills, preparing them well for the next stages of their education and future careers.
