FREE Gym Membership for 11-16 Year Olds ( Published: 30/03/2026)
From May half term 2026, Manchester City Council are offering free gym memberships to children aged 11-16 in different centres across Manchester, with East Manchester Leisure Centre our closest one.
How to Apply
- Visit the Better website (this link should automatically choose ‘East Manchester Leisure Centre’ as your home centre, but there are other centres available too)
- Change ‘membership type’ to ‘Junior (Under 18)’
- Change ‘payment type’ to ‘single payment’
- Select the membership option that shows up at £0.00
- The next section(s) are for parents/carers to complete their child’s details, select sessions etc
This is a great (and free!) opportunity for children aged 11-16 to make use of local health and leisure facilities.
