Students Celebrate Empowerment and Creativity at Futureworks’ International Women’s Day Event ( Published: 11/07/2025)

Promoting equality and inspiring ambition at Futureworks.

A group of our students recently took part in an inspiring and thought-provoking International Women’s Day event hosted by Futureworks Manchester, a leading digital media and creative industries training provider.

The event, held in celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, brought together students from across Greater Manchester to explore this year’s theme, ‘Accelerate Action’. Through a series of engaging talks, workshops, and creative showcases, the day highlighted the achievements of women in media, film, gaming, and technology—industries where gender equality continues to evolve.

Students had the opportunity to hear from female professionals and alumni working in creative and tech industries as well as take part in interactive workshops on storytelling, sound design, and digital art.

The event not only celebrated the achievements of women but also encouraged students to think critically about the role they can play in building a more inclusive future.

It was the best trip we have been on in the past three years.

The professionals were really honest about their experiences in their industry.

I enjoyed getting to draw and design my own characters.

It opened a new perspective to me on how creativity can flow in different industries.
