Year 7 Students Visit GM Fire Safety Centre ( Published: 23/06/2026)
The trip provided an excellent opportunity for students to learn important safety skills, while exploring the vital work carried out by emergency services in our community.
During the visit, students were given a guided tour of the centre, where they took part in a range of interactive activities designed to highlight key aspects of personal and public safety.
A particular highlight of the day was the chance to learn directly from experienced fire service staff, who shared real-life scenarios and practical advice. In keeping with our REACH values of Care, the visit reinforced important messages around responsibility and decision-making, helping students to recognise potential risks and how to react appropriately. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, maturity, and engagement from all involved.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at the Greater Manchester Fire Service Safety Centre for their warm welcome, professionalism, and for delivering such an informative and memorable experience. Their dedication to educating young people plays a crucial role in keeping our communities safe.
Well done to all of our Year 7 students for representing the school so positively and making the most of this valuable learning opportunity.
