Year 9 Gateways Visit to The University of Manchester ( Published: 10/02/2026)

As part of our commitment to promoting ambition and aspirational pathways for students, a group of our Year 9 students visited The University of Manchester.

Year 9 students had the opportunity to learn about finance and budgeting from the perspective of a university student. They also spoke to different Student Ambassadors, had a tour around the campus and the different subject areas that they were interested in, and found out the type of learner they are to help them with their future studies.

It was useful to learn about the finances that were involved as a university student, and have a look around the different buildings on the campus to see where students study.
