An England Boxing Champion is Born

Published: 15/06/2018

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Pep (Year 9) has won the England Boxing National Schools Championship, one of the most prestigious amateur boxing tournaments in the country.

Pep (Year 9), the top ranked boxer in the country at 62kg

Lifting the title sees Pep join a hugely impressive list of former winners including David Haye, Anthony Crolla, Tony Bellew and Prince Nazeem Hamad.

Following his national success, Pep has been invited to train at an England talent ID weekend. This will see all of the top ranked boxers in the country training together at the GB headquarters in Sheffield. Following a weekend of preparations and training, Pep will be invited to box for England in the three nations tournament against Scotland and Wales.

Pep is now the top ranked boxer in the country at 62kg and has a bright future ahead as an athlete, both nationally and internationally.
