Celebrating the Year 2022 ( Published: 08/02/2023)

On Tuesday 31st January 2023, Year 10 Student Leaders were invited to attend an event organised by the Manchester City Council, to celebrate all of the projects that were successfully ran in 2022.

The event was bookended with talks and performances from a variety of speakers and schools, including The Lord Mayor of Manchester, Commonwealth Games gold medalist Diane Modahl, and Love Island contestant and entrepreneur Scott Thomas.

The students were also given the opportunity to visit many of the exhibition stalls, further highlighting all the successes of the previous year. As usual, the charm and charisma of TEMA students shone through as several were asked to take part in the official photoshoots and various interviews for the event.

It was really interesting to see just how much the council cared about young people!
Melissa, Year 10 Student Leader

It was a fun day out and a great experience to see all the opportunities the council are making for us.
Thomas, Year 10 Student Leader
