Year 7 students during the Manchester Healthy Schools Voice Box event in January 2026

Student Voice in Action ( Published: 05/02/2026)

Five of our Year 7 students proudly took part in the Manchester Healthy Schools Voice Box event.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for students to share their views, listen to others, and help shape whole school approaches to health and wellbeing. Throughout the session, students explored and discussed a range of key national awareness themes, including:

  • Children’s Mental Health Week
  • International Women’s Day
  • No Smoking Day
  • Neurodiversity Celebration Week

Our students contributed thoughtfully and respectfully, demonstrating confidence, maturity, and a strong understanding of how these themes can positively impact school life.

We are now looking forward to implementing the ideas and suggestions raised across the school over the next half term, using student voice to inform meaningful action. We are excited to continue this work and look forward to meeting again at future Voice Box events.

Well done to our Year 7 representatives for being excellent ambassadors for our school.
