Students visit London as part of a Sociology trip in 2022

Saturday Sociology ( Published: 11/11/2022)

As part of the school’s commitment to support students to attain the highest grades possible, Year 11 sociology students went to visit London over the weekend.

The students partook in a walking tour, which helped them to expand on their learning, by understanding how human beings acquire their identity and examine the process of passing on culture from generation to generation in diverse settings. They were also able to grasp how sociological knowledge and ideas change over time, and how these ideas inform our understanding of the social world.

The event was a fantastic opportunity for the students to expand their knowledge and consider the phenomenal landmarks of London in relation to their sociology. The students were a credit to the academy and learnt so much throughout the day.
