The 6.5-acre park is the first step in the £1.5bn Mayfield masterplan to create a new sustainable, mixed-use neighbourhood in the city centre – one of the UK’s largest urban regeneration projects.
TEMA students had the privilege of being amongst the first to use the new park, participating in football, yoga, mindfulness and of course sampling the new play area!
It was a busy afternoon for students speaking to journalists from ITV, BBC and The Guardian, as well as the Manchester Evening News.
Yesterday I had the privilege of bringing 100 inner city school kids to Mayfield to open their new park. Hands down my favourite day in the office in twenty years. Thanks to TEMA for sending some fantastic kids!
