TEMA Playmakers

Published: 02/03/2021

Congratulations to four of our students who recently completed the online FA Playmaker course!

Jake (Year 11), Sahand (Year 11), Callum (Year 11) and Wesley (Year 10) eagerly took up the opportunity to further their coaching knowledge whilst working from home, following the completion of a Sports Leaders award during the last academic year.

Taking place once weekly, students were joined online by MU Foundation delivery staff who guided the boys through the 5 course modules:

  1. Get started
  2. Connect with your players
  3. Create fun sessions
  4. Keep football safe
  5. Get involved

Specifically designed for anyone interested in taking a more active role in grassroots football, the course serves as an excellent introduction to the brilliant basics of making fun, safe and inclusive football happen for all.

I found the course really enjoyable and I learnt key bits of information to help me with coaching. I liked that we could still do something related to sport even though we weren’t in school. Next I would like to do my level 1 badge!
Wesley (Year 10)

Wesley enjoyed the course as it has given him a wider understanding in a sector he would love to get into. Thank you for giving him this opportunity.
