Performing Arts Students Visit the Waterloo Road Set ( Published: 02/12/2025)

Our Year 10 Performing Arts students had a fantastic opportunity to visit the set of Waterloo Road.

The day began with an engaging industry workshop exploring the wide range of job roles involved in television production. Students gained a real insight into how many skilled professionals work behind the scenes to bring a show to life.

We were then taken on an exclusive tour of the set, where the group were able to see the makeup and costume departments in action and understand how characters are created and maintained on screen. A highlight of the visit was meeting one of the cast members, who shared honest experiences about filming schedules, on-set pressures, and the realities of working in TV.

It was a brilliant trip from start to finish, and our Year 10s were absolutely amazing: enthusiastic, respectful, and learnt so much about the industry.
