Year 8 Students Q&A with BBC Russian News Editor ( Published: 21/07/2023)

As part of the school’s vision to equip students with the skills, abilities, attributes and qualifications to be active, global citizens, Students were given the opportunity to take part in a Q&A session with Famil Ismailov, News Editor for BBC News Russia.

A group of Year 8 students participated in a Q&A session with the news editor for BBC News Russia, Famil Ismailov. Famil spoke to students online from the BBC’s headquarters’ broadcasting house in London. Students were able to ask questions about Famil’s language learning journey, his work in the field of journalism and his work at the BBC. Students learned about many of the incredible opportunities that language learning provides both in your personal and your professional lives. Famil explained to our students how languages have helped in his career and how they can help our students become active, global citizens.
