TEMA Careers hosted their second careers business lunch in school, hosted by Savills, with fifteen Year 9 and 10 students specially selected to take part.

Students during a Careers Business Lunch in 2019, hosted by Savills, a real estate and property management specialist

The business lunch took place on Tuesday 9th July 2019 and the students heard from two staff members from Savills, who have different job roles in the real estate/property management company.

Students had the opportunity to learn about the wide range of careers in this sector and then had the chance to take part in a Q&A session, learning more about the speakers’ pathways into their job roles and the alternative paths they could have taken, including the apprenticeship route.

Ms O’Donnell, Careers and Employability Lead, said:

Thank you so much to Lauren and James from Savills for supporting our careers business lunch. You opened the students’ eyes to the world of real estate and property management.

Ben, Year 9 student, added:

I didn’t know anything about this industry and now I think I would love to work in it in the future. I am hoping to again some work experience in year 10 to help me find out more.
