Reading at TEMA ( Published: 25/09/2025)
Reading has got off to a fantastic start at TEMA this year! Our students have been taking part in a range of exciting activities designed to inspire a love of reading and writing across all year groups.
Year 7 enjoyed a Q&A session with author Kimberley Whittam, where they had the chance to discover more about the writing process and what it takes to become an author.
Year 8 took part in an inspiring workshop led by poet, performer, and director Nasima Bee. Through this, they explored the importance of identity, self-expression, and using writing as a powerful way to make their voices heard.
Year 9 students have taken part in peer reader mentor training to develop their leadership skills and support younger students on their reading journeys.
It’s been a brilliant start to the year, and we can’t wait to see how our students continue to grow as readers, writers, and leaders.
